What are cookies?

Small files. Big impact.

Cookies are small text files stored by your browser when you visit a website. They help the site remember choices you make, keep sessions secure, and enable site features. Cookies can be session cookies (deleted when your browser closes) or persistent cookies (kept for a set time).

We use cookies to operate the Website securely, to measure and improve our services, and (where permitted) to provide relevant content and advertising. This page explains how and why we use cookies and how you can manage them.

How we use cookies

Purpose-driven

We only use cookies for clear, limited purposes aligned with legal requirements and best practices. Main uses are:

  • Essential / Security: enable secure login sessions, checkout protection, and fraud detection.
  • Performance & analytics: measure site usage and improve speed and reliability.
  • Functionality: remember preferences like language or audio player state.
  • Personalization & advertising: where you consent, help provide content and ads more relevant to your interests.

We do not use cookies to collect special category personal data (sensitive health, racial/ethnic origin, etc.) without explicit consent.

Third-party cookies (overview)

Partners & embeds

We work with trusted third parties (analytics, media players, payment platforms, advertising providers). Those third parties may set cookies when you interact with their services on our site. Each third party controls its cookies and privacy practices — we describe the main ones below and provide ways to opt-out.

Google Analytics

Site usage measurement

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use subliminalfields.com (pages viewed, session lengths, device types, and aggregated behavior). Google Analytics helps us improve content, layout, and technical performance.

What Google collects: Google may process anonymized device identifiers, cookies, IP addresses (often truncated), pages visited, and interaction timestamps. We configure Google Analytics with IP anonymization where available and avoid sending personally identifying information to Google.

Opt-out: If you prefer not to be tracked by Google Analytics on this site, you can opt-out via:

Paddle (Payments & fraud protection)

Payments — processor cookies

We use Paddle as one of our third-party payment processors for card/checkout handling, invoicing, and certain transactional services. Paddle (and similar processors) may set cookies and use tracking technologies to:

  • Secure the payment flow and prevent fraud;
  • Maintain a user’s checkout session across pages;
  • Assist in dispute resolution and payments reconciliation;
  • Provide analytics on payment performance and error rates.

Important: Paddle (or other payment providers) receive payment and transaction information directly and their handling of that data is governed by their own privacy policies. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers. You can review Paddle’s privacy and security documentation on Paddle’s site.

If you have questions about a Paddle-related payment or privacy matter, please contact our support at subliminalfields@gmail.com and we will assist or, where appropriate, direct you to Paddle support resources.

AI & personalization cookies

Smarter, but transparent

We may use cookies to support personalization features or AI-powered recommendations (for example to suggest audio content you may like). Such cookies store non-sensitive signals about your behavior on-site and are used only where lawful and — in GDPR regions — with consent.

Your choices & opt-outs

Control is yours

You control cookies in several ways:

  1. Cookie banner / preferences: When presented, use the cookie preferences to enable/disable optional categories (analytics, advertising, personalization).
  2. Browser controls: Block or delete cookies via browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge). Deleting cookies may require you to re-sign into accounts.
  3. Third-party opt-outs: Use provider tools such as the Google Analytics opt-out add-on or network advertising opt-out pages (Network Advertising Initiative / YourOnlineChoices / DAA) for ad-related cookies.

Note for CCPA users: If you are a California resident and you wish to opt-out of the sale of personal information (where applicable), you may exercise your rights via the Contact section below. We do not knowingly sell personal information of minors under 16 without explicit opt-in consent.

Retention & security

How long cookies stay

Cookie lifetimes vary by purpose and provider. Essential session cookies are removed when you close your browser. Persistent cookies may remain for days, months, or (rarely) years — depending on the service. Analytics data is typically retained in anonymized or aggregated form for reporting; raw logs used for security are retained only as long as necessary.

We adopt reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect cookie-derived data. However, no system is perfectly secure — where a breach affecting cookies or related data creates a risk to your rights, we will follow applicable notification obligations.

Updates to this policy

We’ll keep it current

We may revise this Cookies Policy to reflect legal, technical, or business changes. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. When required (e.g., GDPR), we will request fresh consent for changes that alter cookie categories or processing purposes materially.
